教材分析:
Analyzing of the teaching contents:
This story is suitable for the students of Grade Four. It mainly involves using simple present tense to describe someone does something, and understanding the changes of behavior verbs when the third person singular is used as subject. The story is about how to use the wisdom when we are in trouble.
Analyzing of the students:
The students have gained basic knowledge of the simple present tense. But they haven’t learned the changes of behavior verbs when the third person singular is used as subject. And some phrases: lots of, shake one’s fist, stamp one’s foot, throw one’s hat on the ground are new to them. After reading the story, the students should be able to understand the humor of it and enhance their ability of using the wisdom when they are in trouble.

A. Knowledge aims:
1. The students can understand and read the new words and phrases: take, lots of, shake one’s fist, stamp one’s foot, throw one’s hat on the ground.
2. The students can read the story fluently in correct tone and intonation.
3. The students can understand the changes of behavior verbs when the third person singular is used as subject.
Ability aims:
1. The students can read the story fluently and act out the short play after learning.
2. The students can understand the humor of the story.
Emotion aims:
The students should know how to get out of the trouble by using the wisdom.

教学过程:
Step 1: Before-reading
1. Greetings
2. Play a game “Who can get the hat?”
Step 2: While-reading
1. Listen to the story
T: Today I bring you a funny story. It’s also about hats. Do you have any questions about these hats?
T: Let’s listen to the story and find the answers one by one.
2. Read the story on page 1
T: What happens to the hats?
Teach: lots of, take, There be …
T: Look at the blackboard and try to tell the story.
3. Read the story on page 2-3
T: Can the man get the hats back? What does he do? Read the story on Page 2-3, then put the pictures in order.
Teach: shakes his fist/ shake their fists
stamps his foot/ stamp their feet
throws his hat on the ground/ throw their hats on the ground
