教学目标:

1. 能正确理解、掌握对话内容,并能朗读对话。

2. 能正确地听、说、读词汇：Christmas tree, Father Christmas, Christmas Eve, wait for, Christmas Day, have a good time

3. 能了解有关圣诞节的活动。

4. 能初步运用First…Next…Then…Finally…句型来叙述圣诞节活动的先后顺序。

5.使学生对西方国家文化与礼仪有一个初步的了解，培养学生中西方文化交际的能力。

教学重点:能正确地理解并朗读对话内容，在教师的引导和帮助下复述课文内容。

教学难点:运用First…Next…Then…Finally…句型来叙述圣诞节活动的先后顺序。

教学构想: 本课话题围绕西方重要节日圣诞节展开。文中通过对Helen一家圣诞活动的描述，使学生了解节日，激发学习兴趣。教学中，需要教师从小处、细处入手，培养学生的倾听能力，让学生充分了解这一节日。从传统食物、传统活动等方面为学生呈现立体的感受。在练习的过程中，内容不要局限于本课学习的几个单词，教师可根据学生已学的知识情况，设置情景对练习内容进行拓展。但值得注意的是，拓展的内容应做到与学生的生活经验紧密联系，实现语言从课内到课外的延伸。开展综合性学习活动，拓宽学生的学习空间，增加学生英语实践的时间与机会。

教学过程:

Step 1 Warming up

Talk about Christmas.

T: How much do you know about Christmas? 

Three questions:

1. When is Christmas?  

2. Who gives presents to us?

3. Find things about Christmas.

学习相关Christmas短语，并补充祝福语：Merry Christmas!

Step 2 Presentation

1. Watch and answer.

T: How do they feel? Who are they?

2. Read and underline. 

Q: What do they do before Christmas? 

3.Try to say.

学习相关词汇：buy presents, stocking, put…on the bed, have a big lunch

4.Let’s praise.

学会用“What”, “How”的感叹句描述圣诞树。

How nice the Christmas tree is!

What a nice/beautiful Christmas tree!

5.Listen and order.

Christmas Eve comes. It is Christmas Day. What do they do?

Culture tips:平安夜，父母们会告诉小孩子，圣诞老人会偷偷把礼物放在圣诞袜里。其实，每户人家都有自己的圣诞老人，他们是谁呢？
