教学内容:

译林版小学英语六上Unit7 Protect the Earth(Sound time & Culture time ) Period 3

教学目标: 

1. 复习Grammar time内容。

2. 了解字母组合oo在单词中的发音。

3. 了解有关保护地球的特殊节日的相关内容。

4. 知道保护环境该做什么,不该做什么。

教学重点:

1. 了解字母组合oo在单词中的发音。

2. 了解有关保护地球的特殊节日的相关内容。

教学难点:

掌握字母组合oo在单词中的发音。

教具准备:单词卡片,课文图片,PPT

教学过程:                                      

Step 1.Warm up

T: We know water, wood, energy and plastic are useful. Let’s match the phrases. (PPT呈现配对练习)

S: (完成练习)

T: Well done! Now shall we read them together?

S: (大声朗读练习中的句子)

【设计意图:通过配对练习让学生再次运用use … to … 的句型,同时和他们的生活实际联系起来。】

Step 2.Presentation

1. Judge true or false

T: We know a lot about how to protect the Earth. Would you please judge these sentences? (用课件呈现一组句子,让学生判断句子中的行为是否合适)

S: (完成练习)

【设计意图:再现文中的重点句子,同时也检测了学生对句子的理解。第三个句子起到承上启下的作用,引出下文保护环境的节日。】

2. Learn about special days

T: You did a good job. Now most of you know what we should do and what we should not do. So people find special days to tell the world that we need to protect the Earth. (PPT呈现有关世界环境日的图片和内容) Look at the sign. It’s a special day. What is it?

S: World Environment Day.

T: Yes. When is it?

S: It’s on the 5th of June.

(PPT依次呈现世界地球日、世界无烟日、世界动物日、植树节、世界水日和世界森林日的图片和文字,引导学生展开问答)

【设计意图:引导学生展开世界地球日和世界环境日的问答,并作进一步拓展,引发学生学习的兴趣,增强他们的环保意识和文化意识。】

Step 3.Sound time

T: So we may protect our Earth. Make it clean and beautiful. Look, what beautiful pictures! (PPT呈现图片) It’s autumn. Is it beautiful?

S: Yes.

T: How is the weather?

S: It’s sunny/windy/cool.

【设计意图:教师通过图片引导学生说出school, food, room等词,从而自然地导入Sound time中的单词。】

T: Look at Page 73, Sound time. Who’d like read these words for us?

S: Let me do it. (朗读单词)

T: What are the same letters in the word?

S: Oo.

T: How to pronounce it?

S: /u:/.

T: Can you make a sentence with three or four of these words?

S: (按教师要求使用这些句子造句)

T: I have some lovely sentences. First please listen and try to imitate.

S: (学生跟读模仿句子)

(教师指导学生注意句子的停顿、升降调、重读、弱读等)

T: Who can read nicely for us?

(学生选出朗读较好的同学,为他们打颗星)

Step 4 Expansion     

T: I have more words that contain “oo”. Can you read them and divide them into two groups? Put them in the different boxes.

S: (朗读单词,完成分类练习)

Step 5 .Homework

1. Read after the tape five times, and be able to read nicely.

2. Copy the words and phonetic symbols.
